A Note From the couple
Beth Farley & Michael Boutte Just Married!
As most of you know, we try to stay very involved in animal rescue. These rescues work tirelessly to save innocent homeless animals off the streets of Houston.
Our crazy cats, Kitten and Mischa, were rescued by Friends For Life (FFL) when their original owner passed away with no family. Our dog, Reeses, and my Parent’s family dog, Leia, were both rescued by Houston Pets Alive (HPA) around the time Harvey hit our city. Our other family dog, Frankie, was rescued by Wag Again Rescue (WAR), with a broken leg that the rescue had fixed. These rescues took care of our babies and made sure they were safe until we took over as their foster (fail) parents. The rescue groups have saved thousands of Houston dogs and cats who could have otherwise ended up staying in a shelter at risk of euthanasia.
Rescued Pets Movement (RPM) has drastically increased the live release rate at one of the big Houston kill shelters. They transport animals TWICE a week to their new lives in Colorado. They do so much amazing work for the community and both Jessica and I are active fosters with RPM.
2 Blondes All Breed Rescue works with RPM to receive animals transported to them in Colorado where they can find forever homes. Colorado doesn’t have the amount of homeless pets that Houston does, so 2 Blondes has given so many Houston animals a new place to be safe and call home.
These rescues mean so much to us, so we would love to use our special day to raise funds to help more animals. If there is a charity you feel extra connected to, please donate to that cause! While we can’t track those donations to write you a thank you note, please know that we are so grateful!
