A Note From the couple
Katie & Trey
Trey had the opportunity to serve in Kijabe, Kenya at the mission hospital as a senior surgical resident. In Maasai, Kijiabe means ‘place of the winds’ and the town as well as hospital sit high up on the side of a mountain, serving a broad swath of patients from the stunning Kenyan Rift Valley. The hospital staff is a beautiful blend of both foreign physicians on mission and Kenyan providers who were trained at the facility. While the hospital’s resources are scarce, the indomitable spirit and energy of the staff help make limited resources stretch incredibly far. Kijabe will always be special to us, and we’d love to use this event in our life to be a blessing for the hospital and its staff as well. If you feel led, please feel free to give to Kijabe.
