A Note From the couple
Timothy Nielsen & Emily Kern
We’re really looking forward to celebrating with you! In lieu of a traditional gift, we’d love donations to any of the following organizations:
Partners in Health https://www.pih.org/ The mission of Partners In Health is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.
APOPO HeroRats https://www.apopo.org/en The APOPO scent detection rats, nicknamed ‘HeroRATs’, help to rid the world of landmines and tuberculosis –returning safe land back to communities for development, and freeing people from serious illness so they can get back on their feet.
P:EAR https://www.pearmentor.org/ p:ear builds positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth through education, art and recreation to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives. Each year their programs serve almost 900 homeless and transitional young people ages 15 to 24.
Washington Trails Association http://www.wta.org We protect hiking trails and wild lands, take volunteers out to maintain trails, and promote hiking as a healthy, fun way to explore the outdoors.
Philabundance https://www.philabundance.org/ Philabundance is the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization, acquiring, rescuing and distributing food to 90,000 people weekly in 9 counties in PA and NJ. Philabundance serves our neighbors in need through our own food distribution programs and a network of more than 350 social service agencies, including soup kitchens and emergency shelters.
