The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a 501c3 faith-based, non-profit organization established in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in 1871 to serve those in need.
Our mission is to grow spiritually through person-to-person service to all in need in our community. We do this through our network of charity made up of spirituality, friendship, and service.
The Society is made up of 58 parish-based chapters, called Conferences. Our Conferences have a combined 1,900 parish-based volunteers called Vincentians. They help the Society by visiting our friends and neighbors in need and referring them to our programs.
The Society has a Vincentian Services Center that houses the majority of our programs. This location also welcomes our Good Samaritan volunteers. They help the Society by maintaining our programs ready to serve the community.
Together, as ONE SOCIETY, we serve our friends and neighbors living within the ten-country area of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels establishes a Catholic presence in the West Humboldt Park area on Chicago’s west side.
This area is presently one of the poorest neighborhoods in the City of Chicago. The purpose of the Mission is twofold: to assist the materially poor and to share the treasure of our Catholic Faith.
Our specific mission demands that we be well-formed and able to form others, capable of comprehending what goes on in people’s lives and offering an opportune response.
The philosophical and theological studies will be oriented according to the classical-realist tradition, which both the Fathers of the Church and the Scholastics assumed for the intellectual penetration of the faith.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us — something that everyone should be able to understand in a language and format that clearly speaks to their hearts. At least 2,000 languages around the world are still waiting for a translation project to start.

The Refuge is a temporary emergency shelter program. It is designed to assist homeless individuals and families that reside in Lapeer County and who are ready, willing and able to transition out of homelessness.
Since 1992, our mission has been for Oakseed Ministries to assist indigenous ministries who serve abandoned children and the poor in the developing world’s largest cities, bringing the good news of Jesus in word and action.
Little Lambs Ministry is committed to providing the opportunity for orphans and abandoned children in Eurasia and China to accept Christ, to grow in their faith, and become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. Little Lambs is committed to assisting Christian organizations and Churches in Eurasia and China in their orphan ministries and evangelistic church growth programs. Orphans and abandoned children – God gave us the vision and desire to provide love, nurture, spiritual teaching, and physical and emotional care for those who need the most but have the least – the abandoned children of the former Soviet Union.
