We don’t believe our wedding should be an occasion to accumulate more stuff. We’re so fortunate to not need anything but the love and attendance of our guests. We know there are many people struggling and many good people and organizations working to improve our world. We hope our guests support our wishes and make a donation to one of our preferred charities.

We believe in the power of charity to build communities. N Street Village has been a pillar in Washington for several years helping homeless and low-income women survive and thrive. We believe in local impact but understand that many of your are coming from elsewhere, so our other charities align with our personal beliefs.

We support the ACLU because of their commitment to protecting individual rights and liberties, even those we don’t agree with. We support RAICES because we believe in the rights of immigrants and refugees. We believe our system of justice and human rights apply to all communities. We support the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence because we believe enough is enough. Finally, we support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because we believe EVERYONE should have access to healthcare and life saving medicine, particularly children.
