LPGM provides access to quality education for people at the margins-especially women and girls. We work together with global partners to listen, respond and bear witness to local needs and priorities.
LPGM envisions a world where relationships transform boundaries and where all people have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
We exist to positively influence culture through the training and promotion of leaders of color.
Since 2004, Limitless Horizons Ixil (LHI) has worked to create opportunities for indigenous youth, women, and families to develop the academic and professional skills needed to effect change in their lives and community. Chajul, a rural indigenous Maya Ixil community, was devastated by Guatemala’s 36-year civil war. From 1960-1996, targeted violence amounted to genocide and left the community as one of the poorest in Guatemala today. Our core programs below enable our beneficiaries to grow up to become agents of change for generations to come:
● The Youth Development Program supports ambitious youth (66% girls) grades 7-12 with financial scholarships and wraparound services to help them succeed.
● Our Emerging Leaders Program provides Youth Development Program alumni with career development opportunities, fellowships, and ongoing support in their post-secondary transitions to university, employment, or entrepreneurship.
● The Saber Sin Límites (Limitless Knowledge) Community Library offers the entire community of all ages access to over 9,000 books as well as weekly activities including story and cultural hours, book clubs, art activities, tutoring, and homework help.
Wipe Every Tear exists to bring freedom, hope, and a future to women trafficked in the sex trade in the Philippines. Through free meals, college education, and safe housing, women are able to live radically transformed lives. They are being fully restored!
