We are a donation-funded, volunteer-run organization based in Madison, WI that sends books and other educational materials, free of charge, to incarcerated LGBTQ people across the United States. We have been doing this for over 10 years and have sent books to over 9,000 people in that time.
OHS is the largest humane society in the Northwest, and adopts more animals from its Portland shelter than any other single-facility shelter on the West Coast. OHS puts no time limits on how long animals remain at the shelter—a pet stays available for adoption for as long as needed to find a loving home. If a pet in the care of OHS needs medical attention, the OHS veterinary hospital provides the pet with same level of care you would want your own pet to receive.
Our transitional program provides housing for up to 14 residents at a time. They remain for six to 12 months, based on need and progression in the program. This positive home includes structured programs and services that help residents obtain and keep employment and conduct responsible social lives. The program helps them overcome challenges with work skills and habits, chemical dependency, education, and family and community responsibilities.
The Stand Up For Pits Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to saving lives and ending the abuse and discrimination of Pit Bull “type” dogs (Pibbles) through live events, funds, education and advocacy. We don’t limit the way we advocate or save lives. We believe in new ways, new thinking and new change, and are committed to empowering others to do the same until abuse and discrimination against our beautiful Pit Bull type dogs ends.
Choose Love goes where the need is greatest. We fill the gaps and act where others won’t. Sometimes that means Search & Rescue boats. Sometimes it means providing food or safe, secure long-term housing. Since 2015, we’ve supported over 120 incredible projects and reached over one million people.
We are a 501(c)3 organization working to support people with Spina Bifida as they reach for their goals and pursue a more fulfilling life. It is our goal to enrich the lives of those affected by Spina Bifida through education, parental support, social networking, advocacy and public awareness.

Save the Redwoods League is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect and restore California redwoods and connect people to the peace and beauty of redwood forests. The League protects redwoods by purchasing redwood forests and the surrounding land needed to nurture them. We restore redwood forests by innovating science and technology that can improve stewardship and accelerate forest regeneration. And by protecting more than 200,000 acres and helping to create 66 redwood parks and reserves, the League builds connections among people and the redwood forests. The League’s work is grounded in the principles of conservation biology, research and improving our collective understanding and appreciation of the redwoods.
