Special Olympics Southern California

The mission of Special Olympics Southern California is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Our vision is to promote acceptance, inclusion, and well‐being for people with intellectual disabilities through sports.

Children

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles

BBBSLA serves youth ages 6-18 throughout all of Los Angeles County. Our Littles – many of whom are referred to as “at risk” and “high risk” — are paired with a carefully screened adult volunteer and are professionally supported by our team of Match Support Specialists throughout the entire length of the match. We are working hard to raise more funds to process the volume of kids and volunteers coming into the program.

Emerge Global

At Emerge, we invest in strong girls, girls who we know will rock the boat and fight for a better future. Emerge works with girls who have survived abuse, often in their own families, and have had the courage to speak out, to work to protect their younger sisters, and to create a safe reality for their own children. What if these courageous and resilient young women had the skills, resources and networks to enact their own visions of change? At Emerge, we believe this is the best investment we can make.

Rebuilding Lives, Poverty & Hunger

The Curbside Chronicle

The Curbside Chronicle is Oklahoma’s street paper created to provide both a voice and employment opportunities for people who are experiencing and at risk of homelessness. In addition to providing a source of income, the Curbside Chronicle works with vendors to break down barriers to traditional employment and develop time management, money management and social skills. Street papers like The Curbside Chronicle enable people to earn enough money to get into housing and end their homelessness.
