RxART is a nonprofit organization with the mission of helping children to heal through the extraordinary power of visual art. We commission exceptional artists to transform children’s hospital spaces into inspiring and engaging healing environments. Each project is produced at no cost to the hospital and each artist offered an honorarium and chance to change children’s lives as they heal.
Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) is the non-profit revitalizing and transforming Buffalo Bayou, Houston’s most significant natural resource. The organization’s geographic focus is the 10-square mile stretch of the bayou that flows from Shepherd Drive, through the heart of downtown into the East End, and onto the Port of Houston Turning Basin. BBP has implemented more than $200 million in improvements for the redevelopment and stewardship of the waterfront – spearheading award-winning capital projects, protecting land for future parks and green space, constructing hike and bike trails, and operating comprehensive clean-up and maintenance programs. In 2015, BBP completed the $58 million Buffalo Bayou Park project. This 160-acre greenspace lies west of downtown Houston and includes beautiful gardens and native landscaping; hike and bike trails; paddle craft and bike rentals; the go-to dog park in the city; public art; a creative nature play area; two visitor centers; and gathering places for visitors to picnic, relax and enjoy outdoor activities.

Refoodee works to address the hospitality industry’s labor shortage through training and employment opportunities for those who have been forced to flee their country due to persecution, war or violence by providing them with skills and training to become economically stable. Refoodee is committed to celebrating unique cultures and bringing attention to human rights issues faced within underserved communities.
