CONSCIOUS HOME DECOR : THE DETAILS

If you were with us last week, you know the deal. I’m sharing my favorite consciously made, pretty details that give back and more that I’ve personally been sourcing for my own home renovation, in hopes it can inspire all of you newlyweds out there as well. This week is all about accents and accessories to style up your coffee table, book cases and more. Here are just a few of my personal picks from resources you can feel good about supporting:

Founder Sheeva has done a brilliant job of intersecting the design needs AND impact needs of millennials and is quickly taking the world by storm. Not to mention, the Vera Tray was my first purchase when I embarked on my redesign!

If you’re ever bored and looking for the perfect instagram to stalk, look no further than Rose & Fitzgerald. Every item in their collection is DIVINE. Founder Courtney Poole is cooler than cool and has the best eye. Sourced from Uganda (she and her guy used to live here) the Rose & Fitzgerald line manages to celebrate all of the beauty of Africa without sacrificing western design trends.  First on my list? This Dipped Geometric Candle Holder Set.

Handmade in Los Angeles by a local artisan, I can’t get enough of these Girl Face Pots, which are made to order by Rami Kim:

Or, how about this leather catch all from Fashionable? Handmade in Kenya on Tembo Road, this company and everything it sells is about putting an end to generational poverty by giving people of the region a sustainable way of life. In this case, by support their locally made art and products.

And, who doesn’t need a few good candles. I love these from Candle Essentials that are handmade in the United States and are completely vegan.
