Forgotten Friends is a 501c3 organization. Our aim as an animal rescue group is to find a home in Suffolk or Nassau County for our beloved rescue animals. Since 9/11, we have been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. We are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
Hearts & Bones is the realization of our shared dream to bring people together across the country to save the lives of dogs in need and unite loving forever families. As a foster-based rescue, we focus on providing all of our dogs with secure and caring environments while they search for their adopters. At Hearts & Bones, all of our dogs are 100% certified pre-loved.
Founded in 2006, the UFW Foundation is a nonprofit organization (501c3) that advocates for workers’ rights and protections for farm workers across the United States and provides educational outreach and critical services such as immigration legal services to low-income rural communities. With its core purpose being to empower communities to ensure human dignity, the UFW Foundation has mobilized farm workers across the country to advocate for more equitable policies like immigration reform, pesticide protections, heat standards, hazard pay, and other worker protections. It has engaged constituents in systemic change to break the cycle of poverty while also providing critical services in California, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia and Washington state, and is one of the largest federally accredited immigration legal service providers in rural California.
Anna’s Pet Care Fund provides financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford emergency veterinary care. Our goal is to bridge the funding gap, ensuring pets receive the urgent care they need.
The Frederick Center exists to support and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people and our families so we thrive, accepted and affirmed, in the broader Frederick community.
RezDawg Rescue works with communities in the Four Corners Region of the southwest U.S. to save homeless pets through transport, foster care, veterinary treatment and adoption. We also provide mobile spay/neuter clinics and outreach in collaboration with Indigenous and rural communities. This outreach includes veterinary assistance for those who need help caring for their pets and distribution of thousands of pounds of pet food pantry items each month.
