No More Deaths

The mission of No More Deaths is to end death and suffering in the Mexico–US borderlands through civil initiative: people of conscience working openly and in community to uphold fundamental human rights. Our work embraces the Faith-Based Principles for Immigration Reform and focuses on the following themes:

Direct aid that extends the right to provide humanitarian assistance
Witnessing and responding
Consciousness raising
Global movement building
Encouraging humane immigration policy

In Crisis

Maine Seacoast Mission

Since 1905, the Mission has been connecting people to their strengths by offering healthcare, education, food, shelter, and spiritual support.

At our Downeast Campus in Cherryfield, we build community through food security, afterschool programs, youth development, scholarships, housing rehabilitation, and events. For islands miles off the Maine coast, the Sunbeam serves as a floating community center, bringing nurses and telehealth, a chance to gather for meals, and a roster of educational programming and enriching events.

Rebuilding Lives

Bay Area Rescue Mission

We start with the basic essentials of homeless services: a meal, a clean bed, warm clothing and any other critical care they need to begin recovering from homelessness, addiction and poverty.

Once their basic needs are met, we focus on their long-term recovery. Our Life Transformation programs give men and women the practical tools and training, and spiritual guidance, to overcome their struggles for a stable, independent tomorrow.

Human Rights

Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center

The Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties serves all survivors of Intimate Partner Violence, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, creed, race, country of origin, immigration status, income, or ability. Please know you are not alone and we are here to help you.

Children

DDX3X Foundation

The DDX3X Foundation was created by parents of children diagnosed with DDX3X Syndrome to support children like theirs, as well as adults, who have been diagnosed with this condition and the families that love them. As part of our mission, the Foundation supports existing research, education, and treatment programs focused on DDX3X Syndrome.

People for Palmer Park

People for Palmer Park (“PFPP”) grew out of strong neighborhood concern for the viability of Palmer Park (“the Park”), which was in part inspired by the City’s announcement in 2009 that it planned to close the Park. Led by enthusiastic tennis players, a grassroots movement of residents and neighbors from all surrounding communities began meeting and organizing. Many of those early organizers remain active with PFPP today.

Exodus Ministries

Exodus Ministries is a 501 (c) (3) non-denominational Christian organization established in 1985. We serve mothers from all ethnic backgrounds who have demonstrated a willingness to make positive changes in their life. These women are dealing with the residual pain of having been separated from their children for a long period of time and do not have the immediate financial resources to sustain their families. Exodus helps them and their families to become productive members of society by serving their spiritual and physical needs.
