Celebrate RVA is a wonderful organization based in Richmond, Virginia. We recently had the honor of connecting with them and hearing more about their inspiring work! 
Celebrate RVA was founded out of the raw desire to celebrate childrens lives and for them to know how loved and cherished they are by our community. I was 16, a junior in high school, when I asked a child how old he was and when is birthday was. His response? “I think I was born when it was cold outside”. That struck a chord with me – this child had no idea the significance of his birthday and that it should be a special day. I set out to celebrate as many birthdays as I could and have since celebrated over 1500 children.
What inspires you to give back?
First off, thank you for taking the time to consider such a generous offering. Whether it be to Celebrate RVA or any other charity, I think I speak for all of us when I say that your donation – no matter how big or small – will make a huge impact. We have local children who ask for birthday supplies instead of gifts, so that they can share their birthday by providing us with the things we need to give an underprivileged child a celebration. Every time I collect one of those donations, my heart overflows because someone has chosen to take a happy time in their life, and share that with someone else who is in need of that joy…and that is a beautiful thing to be a witness to. So please, take the time to comb through this site and decide as a couple how you want to start your marriage. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy and hope that you will choose to share that with everyone around you.
